Journal Starter #31 (An English Journal Post)

The computer is very important in my life because I meet many friends over it! I use modems and BBS's and communicate with new people every day. However, with the computer, I don't get to meet the person face to face, so it almost becomes hard to meet people in person.

I also use the computer to type up reports, becaue my hand-writing is messy.

I play games on the computer and I also can play my music on the CDROM.

My father is a computer consultant, and without the computer my family and I wouldn't have the money from his job.

Topic:Your favourite person and why? (An English Journal Post)

My most favourite person right now in my life is my sister. She is in B.C. right now on the Canada World Youth Exchange. I miss her a great deal. I never really knew how much I enjoyed her company until she was gone!

I talked to her the other day for the first time in a while because she happened to phone when my parents weren't home.  She says that this summer we're going to spend a lot of time together, go down to the city, etc;

I miss my sister a lot and really look up to her. She is my favourite person and I wouldn't mind being like her in the least.

(I wish she'd be back sooner!)

Journal Starter #17 (An English Journal Post)

Something that I wanted really really bad for a long time and worked really hard for was to see the Lion King a second time.

I worked hard babysitting to earn enough money for me to go and pay for a friend. I also did a lot of phone calling to see who could meet me there and got groups organized.  I also had to make sure I was extra good around my parents and helped out around the house a lot.

However, on the final night it was playing (for the second time) the weather was really bad and both of my parents were sick, so I had to phone everyone and tell them I couldn't go.

I was really upset over this because I didn't get to see the movie and I didn't get to see my friends.  Out of this, however, I got a promise of my parents buying me the video as soon as it came out!

If I could change one thing about myself it would be nothing!

I know that I am not perfect, but I have a great deal of things that people ike about me and that I like about myself.  If I changed it might not work with the rest of myself, and then I'd want to change something else.

Besides, I understand me and how I work and I can manipulate people if I need to (not a great thing, but I can do it) so, if I were different, well, I'd have to start all over again!

Okay, this subject has me bored... where's that page and I'll start another one.

Journal Starter #2 (An English Journal Post)

The place that I feel (or have felt) the most at home at is up by the junior school (C.H.E.S.) On the edge of the property there is a very large, very old tree.  When I stand, or sit, or lay, near this tree I feel very at peace with myself and the rest of the world.

I now understand why. I reccently read the book The Celestine Prophecy (by James Redfield) and it talks a lot about energy fields and things like that, and so because this is a very old place (tree) it makes so much sense to me.

I suggest that book to anyone who can read.

My arm is sore now!

Journal Starts #4 (An English Journal Post)

The perfect day for me is actually a quite simple one. Nothing big and spectacular about it. In my mind, the perfect day would be one spent sitting beside some bubbling brook, out in the middle of nowhere. The weather would have to be really nice. I would sit there talking to my good friend Christian. I miss Christian a lot! He moved to Mississaugha about a year ago, and I have only heard from him only once since.
Christian and I used to have the greatest conversations, and I would give almost anything to be with him again, even if just for one more day!

An English Journal Post

Ahh, fresh, new paper. Not a place in this book has ever been written on before. I always used to hate starting off brand-new things. Always thought that there must be something left of the old that I could use up before I had to ruin the new, but, it isn't always so!

I hope it's alright that I am using this notebook for my journal. I find it easier to gather my thoughts in one place, rather than on many pieces of looseleaf notebook paper.

I haven't a clue what to write about. I am currently trying to do something rather than just waste my time.

I am supposed to be on my way to Quebec right now, but the bus got stuck in the snow, and then the snowplow they sent to lead the bus got stuck, too, so, the trip has been postponed by one day. That means I miss Thursday as well.

Most students would probably be over-joyed about missing an extra day of school, but me? I'm not! I don't like missing school. First off, it means I miss the socializing, secondly, I like most of my classes, so I want to attend them. But, worst is I hate catching up on the homework Imiss!

Anyway, have to run!
